The world beckons - almost

It’s early days for us. We’ve had some great feedback - there are many people who’ve really put a lot of time and effort into testing out the site for us. It is appreciated.

Nearly there - teething issues? Nah, of course it’s meant to be there!

Houston, we’re almost ready for countdown.

Thanks for your patience.

Overheard…

I (genuinely) overheard this conversation on the tube the other day between two girls…here’s one side of the conversation:

“I really want to write letters to my friends…

I think it’s a better way of keeping in touch…

I used to always write letters to my granddad - the one person I’d write to…now that he’s gone I really miss not writing to him….

There’s one friend I was trying to get back in contact with…for some reason she found it hard to reply to my emails…I should have just found her address and written a letter to her.”

Now if only they’d known about Touchnote…

Thank you

Today’s a big day.

A massive thank you to all of you for your patience. For all those dinners that we cancelled, the late nights, the email checking at inopportune times of the day and night. For your support, guidance and advice. And for just being there.

We’re really looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

And if this post doesn’t make sense to you, sorry. It will do soon.

Interactive. Non-interactive. And back again.

Read about a great Douglas Adams blog posting today that talked about the interactive nature of entertainment. Previously, all entertainment was interactive - theatre, sports, music. Even silence from the crowd would influence the unfolding drama. We were there, we were involved.

And then the 20th century we got TV, radio, films and recorded music. No interactivity there.

And now, as the web develops, we once again increasing our interactiveness. Email, social networking, chat rooms, instant messaging. Connected entertainment - involving us with our friends and family. That’s got to be a good thing.
