Interactive. Non-interactive. And back again.
Friday, October 3rd, 2008
Read about a great Douglas Adams blog posting today that talked about the interactive nature of entertainment. Previously, all entertainment was interactive - theatre, sports, music. Even silence from the crowd would influence the unfolding drama. We were there, we were involved.
And then the 20th century we got TV, radio, films and recorded music. No interactivity there.
And now, as the web develops, we once again increasing our interactiveness. Email, social networking, chat rooms, instant messaging. Connected entertainment - involving us with our friends and family. That’s got to be a good thing.
