Christmas

Say thank you, the personal way

You’ve opened your presents. You’ve eaten more turkey than you thought humanly possible. You’ve even done all of the washing up.

But there is one task remaining: the thank you cards.

I remember being nagged by my parents to write to everyone who gave me a gift when I was a kid. I was terrible at it. But this was back in the days of film cameras, and our PC ran Windows 2.0 (yes, really!).

Say thank you with a photo

Sending a personalised postcard or greeting card costs only one credit, only takes a minute, but it really shows your appreciation. It’s a win-win: they feel good about giving you the present, and then they’ll be even more motivated to get you a great present next year!

Four simple thank you card ideas

1. The present opening moment

It doesn’t have to be complicated. If you got photos during the present opening, then share that moment – like this little guy. I *think* he likes his new toy…

I love my new truck - thank you postcard

2. Cherish that wrapping!

Ok, so this person won the prize for the biggest present under the tree. It didn’t even fit under the tree. But there’s some serious wrapping pros out there, so you could always remind them of their handy work, and tell them how much you appreciated it :)

3. Make a greeting card into a thank you card

It doesn’t have to be a postcard. Lots of people have been using our festive cards for birthdays and other occasions. Just choose a theme such as ‘classic’ and put your message on the front. (And stay tuned for forthcoming news on greetings cards...)

4. Don’t forget the dog

Because any excuse will do for a photo…

It’s the perfect way to use any leftover credits, or if you need credits, check our multipack deals, where you can get credits for as little as 99p or 99c.

Christmas and New Year card printing, and a very Merry Christmas from us

Here's an update on our card printing during the holidays.

We print and send on the next working day, but because of Christmas and New Year, that means no cards will be printed on:

  • December 25 (Christmas day)
  • December 26 (Boxing day)
  • January 1 (New Year's day)

We'll be printing and sending as usual on the working days, and you can talk to our customer service team throughout - just email help@touchnote.com.

Important note: if you are sending cards to Germany or Australia, our printers there will only be back to work on January 2.  Any cards to either country will only be printed then.

You can also find out about our international delivery times here.

Our very own Christmas card

As you’ve probably guessed, we love sending beautiful printed cards :)

So when we introduced our lovely new greetings cards recently, we couldn’t resist sending a few out ourselves, and now seemed like a good time to share it.

So here we are: Team Touchnote, at our London HQ, wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!

Festive greetings cards and postcards fro Touchnote

Photo ideas for holiday and Christmas cards

The best cards are personal ones. And this year we’re making it easy to send all of your holiday and Christmas cards in minutes. That's right, we now do folding greeting cards, sent in top quality envelopes, as well as our beloved postcards.

All you need to think about is the photo to use on your card - here are some ideas we like.

Christmas cat

The internet was made for cats. So what's better than to send a festive feline straight from your mobile or our website? This card uses our 'Nesbo' theme.

Holiday hounds

These two guys are dressed up nice and smart, ready for their pumpkin. Who wouldn't smile when opening this card? This card uses our 'Neon Origami' theme, which also applies a nice warm filter to the photo.

Party time

We love these guys, and I'm pretty sure they loved sending this card! Our 'Chirrup' theme is used here, our little robin speaking the personal message on the front. The theme has also applied a beautiful warm tone to the photo, which really lifted the cold, hard flash from the original photo.

Christmas party photo - moustaches

The knitwear

These guys didn't hold back with their Christmas jumpers (nor their festive headgear). The 'bluebird' theme applies a cool, blue filter to the photo, but these guys are nice and warm.

The family - and the dog

Photos are treasured, especially real, printed ones. If, like these guys, you find a nice spot and smile for the camera, you won't go far wrong. A lasting memory of a happy time - and festive dog! (Using our 'Lund' theme, which also softened the light and smoothed the skin tones)

Classic family photo - with festive dog!

Happy moments

You don't always need snow or Santa hats. This photo is simply a great moment with a brother and sister with our 'Paper Cut' theme applied. It gives the photo a beautiful, nostalgic border and applies a high contrast black and white filter to the photo, creating a timeless, arty image.

A Touchnote Christmas

Send all your cards in minutes

Like our postcards, our new cards allow you to transform a photo into a beautiful festive card.

We print them on thick, textured card and post them first-class in premium envelopes. You write your message for the front and inside, enter the addresses of who you want to receive the card, and you’re finished. It’s really easy.

No envelopes to lick, no stamps to buy, no hard work writing out each address. We will even personalise the message inside the card with all the right names for you.

And for this year only, these beautiful new cards are one credit each – the same as our postcards – meaning as little as 99p or 99c per card if you buy a multi-pack.

Use your Christmas photos to create seasonal ''Thank You'' cards

Christmas postcards
